My wife's (Dixiesugar) uncle passed away unexpectedly yesterday, and I would appreciate you praying for the family. He was married to my late mother-in-law's sister, and was the only decent uncle my wife had, whether by blood or marriage.

The visitation will be tomorrow night, and the funeral on Thursday.

He was a good man, but more importantly he was a saved man. He was a member of a Baptist church just across the state line, and served as a deacon, groundskeeper and whatever else needed to be done. Although he was 71, he was in good health. You just don't expect people to be fine one day, and drop of a stroke the next.

I will pray, it sounds like he is a loss for your family, a loss for his church, a loss for the work of God, but heavens gain.

Enjoy your reward brother, well done

Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers. The funeral is today. Please remember his wife, they have been married for over 40 years, I can't imagine how hard this is going to be for her. And also his two sons are taking it kind of hard.

We'll miss you, Junior. Keep Mama company and tell her all those tall tales like you use to. :crying:
