My son is enrolling at West Coast this fall. He is excited and apprehensive at the same time. Since he's the last one to leave home, his parents have some different emotions in addition to the excitement.

My 2nd son just completed his sophomore year, and my oldest daughter is headed there in the Fall!

It's an exciting place with many ministry opportunities and solid ministry and Bible teaching.

One of the most important pieces of advice I gave to my son was the same my dad gave to me when I left for bible college myself some many moons ago:

"Remember, there will probably be rules and policies there that are different than what you are used to at home and at our church. But, since you know that God wants you there, then you also know that God knows those rules and policies are there, and He still wants you there. So, submit to God by obeying even when it seems silly or strange, because God has a reason for you being there."

That is awesome. I am so happy for the both of you with kids who want to serve the Lord and go to a good Bible college. IMO West Caost is one of if not the best one out there right now.

(I am 60 years old now, since April!!) All three of my kids have left home, and settled somewhere else. Ahhh, the solitude! I miss them, but as far as I know they are all serving God, and all have graduated from Bible College, by the grace of God. It's just me and ma now, but we hear from them often (well, the 2 girls anyway!).

Congratulations to you for having the tenacity to stick with it, and sending your kids to a Christian college, and trusting the Lord along the way.

A very good school. Our former Pastor and his wife are the Dean of Men and Women there - Toby and Rita Weaver. Better people you will not meet on this earth! God will use your son there.
